Summary
Collected margin notes from a year of reading, edited into a short volume. The editing was harder than the reading.
Method
Every note was rewritten twice: once for accuracy against the source, once for whether it stood on its own. Roughly a third survived both passes.
Result
The remaining notes cluster tightly around four questions I did not know I was asking. That clustering is the actual output.
